Lisa Kleypas (ur. 1964) – bestsellerowa amerykańska pisarka, laureatka nagrody RITA, autorka licznych współczesnych i historycznych romansów, które mają swoje wierne czytelniczki na całym świecie. „Wyjdź za mnie” to pierwsza część cyklu romansowego o rodzinie Hathaway. Autorka mieszka w stanie Waszyngton wraz z mężem i dwójką dzieci.

Lisa Kleypas z niezwykłą lekkością zapisuje zmysłowe obrazy miłosnej pasji i grzeszków popełnianych w jej imię. A to wszystko w scenerii XIX-wiecznych krajobrazów. Kleypas has always loved to read, especially within the romance genre. She began writing her own romance novels during her summer breaks from studying political science at Wellesley College, Her parents agreed to support her for a few months after her graduation so that she could finish her latest manuscript. Approximately two months later, at age 21, Kleypas sold her first novel.

At approximately the same time, the 5'2" Kleypas was named Miss Massachusetts. During her competition at the Miss America pageant, Kleypas sang a song she had written, earning her a "talented nonfinalist" award.

Kleypas has been a full-time romance writer since selling that first book. Her novels have ranked high on major best-seller lists, sold millions of copies around the globe and have been translated into fourteen different languages.

In October 1998, Kleypas's Texas home flooded within a matter of hours after heavy rains inundated their town. She and her family lost everything except the clothes they were wearing and her purse. Within days,her colleagues at Avon sent boxes of clothes and books to help the family recover. For Kleypas, though, the defining moment was the after the flood, when she and her mother (whose home had also flooded), made a quick trip to the store to purchase toothbrushes, clean clothes, and other necessities. Separately, each of them had also chosen a romance novel, a necessity to them in helping them escape the stress they were currently under. To Kleypas, this realization validated her decision to write romance novels instead of more literary works.

Though primarily known for her historical romance novels, Kleypas made an announcement in early 2006 concerning her momentary departure from historical romances to delve into the contemporary romance genre. She does plan to write historical romances again in the future.

Lisa lives in Washington with her husband, Gregory, and their two children.

Jak tak patrzę na tą listę, to wychodzi na to, że z połowy jeszcze nie czytałam, w tym współczesnych.



Z tych, co znam, chyba najbardziej lubię Again the Magic.

Ja na razie nie za wiele jej przeczytałam, bo tylko tą Namiętność po polsku i trzy pierwsze części Wallflowers. Ale podoba mi się ogólnie

Czwarta część jest chyba najsłabsza, ale za to dodatkowa piąta mi się podobała, chociaż była schematyczna do bólu Ale ten klimat świąteczny zrobił swoje

Muszę zadać to sakramentalne pytanie: czemu się u nas Kleypas nie wydaje Ona jest przecież fabryczką bestsellerów, a nie jakimś pilnie strzeżonym sekretem

Po opisie mam wrażenie, że czytałam Strangers in my Arms, ale jakoś nie jestem przekonana...

odpowiedź: bo u nas wydawcy maja jajecznicę zamiast mózgu w wyniku wieloletniego przywiązania do "wartości literackich"

trzaby zagadnąc w Bisie- oni spełniają marzenia czytelników jako jedyni może zejdą na chwilę z Laurens i wydadzą coś Kleypas

A z tej Namiętności, jak już ją łaskawie wydali, to podobno powycinali sceny rozmaite?

całkiem możliwe bo plaskata mi się wydawała jakaś wbrew tytułowi

Wydawało mi się, że ktoś ty pisał, sama nie miałam okazji sprawdzić - ale może z czymś innym mi się pomyliło.



Pewnie jakby ją zaczęli wydawać, to od ostatniej serii, hm, czy ktoś ma ochotę na bohaterów-Romów?

czemu nie- wszak bywało już kiedyś kilku cygańskich paniczów - Sawantka Becnel i któryś Angel od Putney

U Becnel to nie wiem, ale u Putney on już był mocno wygładzony U Kleypas też, ale jednak mniej.



Ale mi się przypomniało, że jeden z bohaterów był synem rzeźnika - prawie jak pani z mięsnego

No chyba w Secret of the Summer Nights ten syn rzeźnika co się dorobił był fortuny był o ile się nie mylę



Ale kurcze, Namiętność pocięli???? No to chyba muszę znaleźć oryginał

Poszukam w wyszukiwarce, bo już straciłam pewność co do tej cenzury



Tak, syn rzeźnika był do pary z Annabelle.
