O Autorce
Judith A. Lansdowne amerykańska pisarka.
Since the publication of Amelia's Intrigue in 1995 Judith A. Lansdowne's regency romances have received critical acclaim, garnered numerous awards and entertained thousands of romance readers. Ms. Lansdowne began writing full-time in 1992, but it was only after her daughter persuaded her to try her hand at regency romances that her work was accepted by Zebra, who purchased Amelia's Intrigue in 1994. The book was an immediate success, receiving a Gold Medal review rating and winning Romantic Times Magazine's Reviewers Choice Award for Best First Regency. Zebra has since purchased more than a dozen of her regency romances and an equal number of regency novellas, and her books have accumulated three more Gold Medal reviews and many more awards. Romantic Times honored her with their most coveted award, the Career Achievement Award for Regency Romance, and included Camilla's Fate and Balmorrow's Bride in their list of the top 200 romances of the past twenty years.
Ms. Lansdowne grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Following graduation from St. Joseph High School she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, then spent several years touring the country as an actress and puppeteer with Nicolo Marionettes and the Sid and Marty Krofft organization. When she tired of the constant travel, she returned to Kenosha to attend the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, earning a bachelor's degree in English with highest distinction.
Before taking the plunge into full-time writing she worked as a journalist, instructional television writer/producer, textbook production editor, college writing and television production instructor and television news videographer. She lives with her husband and several pets on the shores of Lake Guntersville, Alabama, where she is pursuing a career in fishing. She writes when the weather is bad.
